AbstractIn this article, the author presents a debate discussing whether writing has nothing or everything to do with campus terrorism. Writing gives teachers a powerful tool to identify malfeasants and lunatics. Members of these groups have a need to disclose, to share their twisted thoughts as if to persuade people of their rationality. On the other hand, the idea behind the writing may not offer clues to a person's real thoughts and beliefs as they are just imagined by the author. It is proposed that creative writing should be used as a surveillance and warning system in schools. It is practiced already, but it is still haphazard and idiosyncratic. As such, a process and a set of clear procedures to identify troublemakers should be developed in schools. (ERIC).
